Italian Stonemason Leone Vinci arrived in Fremantle in 1957 and continued the ancient art of stonemasonry using his skills to build a solid reputation in the limestone industry. In 1980 Mr Vinci purchased his first limestone quarry at Moore River and founded the company known today as Stoneridge Quarries.
Mr Vinci continues to play a significant role in the development of the Stoneridge operations ensuring his traditions are upheld and the company continues to provide high quality limestone products.
As Company Directors, the Vinci brothers Angelo, Robert and Leo, together with brother-in-law Joe Tropiano and business associate Trevor Scott are proud to continue the family tradition with over 100 years combined experience in the quarrying industry.
As a testament to the leadership and professionalism of the Vinci family a number of employees have been with Stoneridge Quarries for over 20 years and are loyal to the company and their customers to ensure delivery of the highest quality limestone products.

After over 30 years in building and construction, I’ve learnt to know value and appreciate the advantages of aesthetically appealing materials. That’s why – when I developed Crest at Landsdale – I chose 100% recycled blocks from Stoneridge Quarries. Stoneridge blocks helped create the sophisticated look I was seeking and the sustainable recycling of materials drew favourable comments from buyers.
– Joe Passione, Managing Director at Crest at Landsdale
Stoneridge Quarries produced an outstanding value for money block that is made from 100% recycled materials. It is a very attractive block for retaining walls and other visible uses. Adding to the attraction of the blocks is the technical excellence of the team at Stoneridge which is always available with helpful advice to ensure a successful outcome. I have no hesitation in recommending Stoneridge blocks – I’ll be using them in future developments.

Tabec, as civil engineering consultant for numerous dry lot and waterfront residential developments in Western Australia over an almost 20 year period are pleased to provide this testimonial in relation to reconstituted stone products produced by Stoneridge Quarries. There is no doubt that the number of Stoneridge reconstituted blocks used in projects designed by TABEC would be measured in the hundreds of thousands.
Up until recently these blocks have predominantly comprised 5MPa reconstituted limestone for dry lot subdivisions and 7MPa reconstituted limestone for use in wet conditions or marine environments. The performance of Stoneridge reconstituted limestone blocks, particularly in the harsh marine environments far exceeds the performance of natural limestone blocks that were commonly used beforehand. A key attribute of the Stoneridge reconstituted limestone block is the consistency of strength throughout the entire block and the consistency of surface finish across the block.
In 2017, following a substantial period of research, development and testing, Stoneridge released for industry use their Eco block, essentially a reconstituted limestone block with a percentage of recycled aggregate filler. The eco blocks have not only taken the consistency of strength and surface finish to a new level, but also made significant improvement in the quality of the block edges to provide a more crisp and sharp appearance due to the recycled aggregate filler having a higher strength than the limestone aggregate.
Based on our experience with Stoneridge Quarries reconstituted limestone and Eco blocks, we would not hesitate to recommend the use of either of these products in situations where limestone or reconstituded limestone products are specified.
